PROJECT PROPOSAL
OVERALL BRIEF
We are in the process of constructing a three story child development centre for the most vulnerable children from the old waste picker community area of CDO, many of whom are victims of the horrifying sex trade.
This centre will provide much needed space not only for the young women of our children’s village in CDO, but also for 750 children from the community in which we work. The centre will be focused on counselling, rehabilitation and vocational training.
THE FALKEN PROJECT
The 2nd floor of our building will be one of the most important areas of the project. This is where the children will receive their individual counselling and medical care. The impact it will have on thousands of children’s lives in years to come is almost immeasurable, it will be life changing for so many. The floor consists of:
Counselling room.
Social workers room.
Infirmary (nurses station).
Emergency Isolation room.
Communal social area.
Staff offices.
Pantry
I feel that this floor of the building would be the best fit for your donation, not only because of the impact on the children, but also because it’s a tangible project that you and you supporters will have paid for in full and can name the entire floor after the Falken Brings Hope Foundation.
I think this, coupled with the stories that will come out of the centre over the years will really help with future fundraising.
Your available budget of around 13,000 CHF is enough for this aspect of the building.
In actual fact this portion of the building is more expensive than this, when you factor in the building foundations and outer walls and entire construction, but we have worked out this figure to cover the internal construct that makes the floor function, such as internal walls, partitions, tiles, lighting etc.
On the right hand side of the plans below you will see the 2nd floor. Construction is already well underway and your brand new Falken Floor will be open by summer, along with the rest of the building.
With buildings in Asia, the floor sequence is; ground floor, second floor, third floor. So your floor will be the middle floor of the building below.
