After the 2015 earthquake in Nepal and a very harsh monsoon season, the Shree Shakala Devi secondary school in Nawalparasi was deemed completely unsafe for the children and teachers to enter and needed to be rebuilt. We decided to build a new secondary school building adjacent to the primary school for the 550 children in this underprivileged area. It opened its doors and was inaugurated in September of 2018.
