As part of our ongoing impact reviews of all programmes, we have been interviewing stakeholders from the community in the area in which our Nutrition Program operates.

The impact has been great on this extremely broad program.

One area of particular interest is the daily meals program; it is beginning to blur with the community support in which they provide fresh produce for the schools, produced in gardens that we helped build, this works towards the ultimate objective of less reliance on external support.

GIRLS’ LEARNING CENTRE AND SAFE HOUSE

Today we finished all of the grill metal work on the centre windows, it also happens to be a very important day in Nepal, today is the birthday of the god of knowledge (Goddess Saraswati) and is the day in which Nepali people believe in starting new ventures and relationships etc.

The team today blessed the centre and moved into the staff office, the office is ready with electricity and a bathroom. Whilst we are still a fair way from full completion, its a great step forward.
